Lantai 4 Perpustakaan Nasional RI sebagai Pembicara Utama dalam Diskusi Buku Biografi KH Zainul Arifin Pohan: Panglima Santri, Ikhlas Membangun Negeri (Pustaka Compass, 2015) sebagai bagian dari Perpusnas Expo 2018, hari Minggu 13 Mei 2018. Kiai As'ad di terima pula oleh Ibu Lily Wahid mewakili keluarga besar KH Wahid Hasyim.
